So. Then what.

I am pretty much clueless when it comes to what I should blog about. This is what came up in my mind when pondering what to write about:

So. Then what.

Since I might as well done one of these now - I’ll do the first one. Or more, my reasons for not writing something about PHP sooner.

I haven’t felt the need to do any programming in quite some time now. I force myself to code sometimes. It gets some work done. Other times I find cool projects that I would like to do. But after a few hours I kinda lose interest.

The last few things I worked on:

I just loose interest. I don’t know why. The periods of coding gets shorter and shorter, interrupted by me juuuust checking up on IRC and my email. After a while I find something else to do. Check Reddit, Boing Boing or watch some tv-series (uhh, cross-over to the 5th subject. Snap out of it!)
I distract myself. I admit. I do it, and I’m not proud of it. This was why I wanted to work at the office of my employee instead of from home. And it works. I don’t distract myself when working there. I know I am at work and getting paid and therefore force myself to actually work.

How about you? Have you ever been in the same situation? Any hints?

XOXO
Go… - No wait. Crossing over into TV series again.

Regards.

OS X Leopard, PHP, PDO MySQL - yes, they will all fit

After installing OS X Leopard I quickly realized that the bundled PHP lacks a very important (at least to me) part. PDO MySQL.
UPDATE:
This was a a build that worked - almost. You couldn’t get GD, PEAR or PECL working. So I set out to fix this issue. But what - Sean Coates had already found [...]

Starting at the University

Soooo.. The time has come. It’s time to start at the University. As you might have figured out already I will be attending DIKU (Department of Computer Science, University of Copenhagen) as of this Monday.
I have been away on a intro-get-to-know-your-classmates-tour the last five days. I was expecting a bit more binge drinking and pressure [...]

Fifth And Final Day At The Fringe

My last day here at the Fringe was well spent catching up on some more shows and performances. I had a whopping five planned, but only managed to catch four with one of them not being the originally planned.
I also spent some time on the Mile with the guys from The Black Tie Band as [...]

On the fourth day, the Fringe continued on as if nothing had happend

As mentioned yesterday I had a plan to go see four plays today. Well, yes - I will end up having seen four shows today, but it surely wasn’t the four shows I planed. Well, even the best plans of mice…
I caught two of the shows planned, missed one and skipped the last. Instead I [...]

Fringe, Day Three

I’ve been quite the busy-bee today having already goon to see three shows and having one more left later in the evening. And I only caught the first show at 15:00! I didn’t really do anything till 15:00 though. Spend most of the time strolling up and down The Mile talking to some of the [...]

Day Two at The Fringe

Another day well taken care of here in Edinburgh. I started out by visiting The Castle as I woke up fairly early. I wasn’t impressed. Maybe because I’ve already seen it once, maybe because I didn’t take a tour. But it was 11 pounds!
I then strolled around on The Mile trying to get inspired [...]

At the Fringe

As mentioned at my previous post, I had thought about going to Edinburgh for a short while. Well - I stopped thinking, started doing. So here I am - in Edinburgh, Scotland.
Had to get up at 04:40 in the night to catch my 06:55 plane to EDI, but I thought it wouldn’t matter much because [...]

Change of life. What I did and what I will do.

Hi,
As of last Friday I am no longer serving at DEMA. I served my 6 month of military service there and really enjoyed my time there. It was a blast and I got to do tons of really cool stuff with tons of really cool people.
And as a side effect I am now a fully [...]

Announcing the Jim Whimpey / Fangel joint strike force

A few weeks has passed since I announced I was going to create a small webapp to mimic Jim Whimpey’s All My Shit. In those weeks quite a bit, yet terribly little has happend.
Jim Whimpey joined the board and added some design features and ideas. I finished up on some of the blocks like Flickr [...]
